Stephen J. Smith (b. August 31, 1951) is currently a Member of the Wisconsin State Assembly representing the 75th District. Smith represents Barron and Washburn Counties which includes the cities of Barron, Cumberland, and Rice Lake. He is currently in his 1st term.
Early Life and Education
Smith was born in Minneapolis and graduated from St. John’s Preperatory (Collegeville, MN) in 1969. He later graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1973.
Prior to serving in the Wisconsin State Assembly, Smith was the owner of school bus company and worked as an accountant.
Smith was first elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2012.
