Dan Bohrod is a Democratic Party candidate for Wisconsin State Treasurer on the November 2014 ballot.

Early Life and Education

Born in Philadelphia, Bohrod grew up in North Dakota and in Boston before moving to the Madison Area in 1978.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986.

Professional Career

Bohrod began his professional career in 1985 working for the Department of Natural Resources as a Project Assistant.  He later ended up working for the Office of the Public Defender, the State Investment Board, the Department of Public Instruction, and ending his State service with the Department of Corrections.  He has worked in his current position as Budget Analyst for the City of Madison since 1997.

Political Career

Bohrod has previously ran for office.  He was a 2010 candidate for Wisconsin State Treasurer along with a 1998 candidate for the Wisconsin State Assembly and a 1995 candidate for the Madison School Board.

Run for State Treasurer-2014

Bohrod announced he would seek the Democratic nomination for the Office of State Treasurer in 2014 on December 20, 2013.
