Joe Voiland as a candidate speaking to supporters

Joseph “Joe” W. Voiland (b. 1973)  is a judge of the Ozaukee County Circuit Court.   Voiland was first elected to serve on the court in 2013 with his term expiring in 2019.

Early Life and Education

Voiland graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in 1995.   He later earned his Law Degree from Marquette University Law School in 2002.   Voiland also served as a Lieutenant to the USS Nimitz from 1995 to 1999.

Professional Career

Before serving on the court, Voiland was a private practice Attorney for Reinhart, Bonner, and Van Dueren in Downtown Milwaukee from 2003 to 2013.   He also served as an Attorney on Justice David Prosser’s campaign during the 2011 Supreme Court recount, along with prior experience working for the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office as a Special Prosecutor in 2010.  Sykes also worked as a Law Clerk to federal judge Diane Sykes in the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals from 2002 to 2003.
